The Research Phase

Optimizing User Experience and Refining Brand Positioning

Gaining insight into the industry and understanding user needs

To gain a better understanding of the industry and user needs, I created UX personas to represent key user segments and mapped their journeys to identify key touchpoints. By analyzing pain points and opportunities, I developed problem statements and hypotheses to guide the design process. I also crafted user flows to ensure a seamless and intuitive experience, addressing specific user goals and optimizing usability at every stage of interaction.

Refine brand positioning

I redesigned several brand attributes to align with our new positioning. As a well-known symbol for customers over the past 10 years, the logo did not require a complete redesign. Instead, it was simplified for a more modern and minimalist look, incorporating roundness to convey a sense of approachability.

The brand fonts were updated to complement the new logo, ensuring readability and versatility across various platforms.

A new color palette was developed by combining tones from the original logo with fresh colors. I made sure to include sufficient combinations to maintain good contrast ratios for both web and print materials. Beige and terracotta hues were added to enhance the brand's warmth, while patterns inspired by construction materials like terrazzo and ceramic tiles reflected the brand's industry roots.

From Wireframes to Final Product

Creation of the New Website

Defining the site map

The website now offers a single core package with an optional add-on for project coordination, moving away from the previous free and premium options. The focus has shifted from showcasing the company's offerings to addressing the specific problems end users face. Individual pages were created for key issues like house renovation, energy-efficient renovations, and interior design, making it easier for users to find relevant solutions.

Bringing the project to life

The project started with creating wireframes incorporating updated messaging and focusing on usability to ensure a seamless user experience. From there, I developed a high-fidelity prototype, refining the visual elements and interactions. We finally built the website on WordPress using Elementor, carefully optimizing all content, alt texts, and page details to improve SEO performance and ensure strong search rankings.

Making the Brand Scalable

Design System Management and Brand Guidelines

While developing the website's UI, I created reusable components using the Atomic Design Methodology to ensure scalability and consistency in the future. Considering that non-designers would need to work with the system, I organized the components efficiently and provided clear examples of best practices.

A PDF version of the brand guidelines has also been developed to maintain consistency across all materials. This document includes essential brand attributes such as logo usage, color palette, typography styles, and detailed instructions on their correct application.
